Calculating the Modulus
Our mini riser uses the relationship between the volume and surface area of a casting, known as the modulus of the casting. Calculating the modulus enables the high-exothermic mini riser to be positioned at the thickest part of the casting where the modulus is highest. This is the last part of the casting to solidify. Due to the high exothermic content, the riser insulating sleeve burns for a longer duration and provides an increased feed capability compared to conventional exothermic risers or other exothermic molding products.

Custom Formed Sleeves

When a standard size and shape won’t do, contact our team. We can create custom sleeves specifically for your casting project. These sleeves are made from our patented high-exothermic blend and deliver optimum feeding conditions at temperatures of 3,000F. |
Hot Topping
RH-1 hot topping will help you improve the yield, thanks to a new blend that has been specially formulated to work as hot topping. This means that it maintains the iron pouring temperature for all exothermic risers. We recommend a thickness of 10% of the riser diameter.
Spring Thorn Mounting Pins
Our spring thorn mounting pins make mounting on high-pressure molding equipment much easier. This exothermic riser is well-suited for all steel types, as well as grey or ductile iron, along with many non-ferrous alloys, such as bronze, brass, and copper. While conventional risers are known to waste sand, flask height, and yield, you can depend upon P.C. Campana Inc. mini risers to eliminate yield losses without contamination to your sand systems.
